Malda, 06th January: A teenager, who had gone to another state in search of work, died unnaturally. The deceased has been identified as Mukesh Mushar (16), a resident of the Kushdangi village under Harishchandrapur Police station in Malda district.
The family members of the deceased alleged that a local contractor, Zakir Hussain, had sent Mukesh to work at the Nipar area of Guwahati in Assam by providing some money as an advance, about two months ago.
The other workers from Nipar in Guwahati called Mukesh’s house and stated that Mukesh died on the spot when soil fell on him while he was laying bricks in a pit about six feet deep. The Harishchandrapur Police are currently investigating the entire incident.
