Fulbari, 26th September: An unidentified person’s body was recovered from the Mahananda Barrage in Fulbari on Saturday morning, prompting police to launch an investigation.
According to reports, locals spotted the body floating near Lock Gate No. 9 of the Fulbari Mahananda Barrage and alerted the authorities. Upon receiving the information, police from Phansidewa Police Station reached the spot along with a rescue team.
The team conducted an operation to retrieve the body from the water. The deceased is estimated to be between 35 and 40 years old; however, the identity remains unknown.
Police recovered the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination. An investigation has been initiated to establish the identity of the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
