Siliguri, 21st November: Mourning has engulfed the area of Central Basti area of Bagdogra after two women were killed in an elephant attack, while another was seriously injured.
The deceased have been identified as Savitri Subba (48) and Devi Tamang (55) and the injured as Geeta Subba (45). Reportedly, this afternoon five-six women had headed to the Bagdogra forest to cut fodder for the cattle. During this, an elephant attacked them killing two of them on the spot.
