Naxalbari, 19th July: Following the instructions of State Trinamool Mahila Congress President Chandrima Bhattacharya, a tree plantation programme was organized on Sunday at the Baramaniram-Kilaram constituency under the initiative of Naxalbari block Maniram Mahila TMC.
Around 200 saplings were planted today. Darjeeling District Vice-President Amar Sinha, Maniram Gram Panchayat Deputy Pradhan Gautam Ghosh, Maniram Anchal President Bhanu Barman, Kishore Chhetri, and Sushant Barui were present during the programme.
Amar Sinha stated that several trees have been damaged after the cyclonic storm Amphan ravaged several parts of West Bengal. He further stated that more trees are likely to be planted soon under this project.
