Siliguri, 05th June: On the occasion of World Environment Day, a tree plantation programme was organized by the Dabgram-Fulbari Trinamool Youth Congress at Vishwa Bandhu Maidan, Hatiadanga. About 200 saplings were planted today. Apart from this, saplings and masks were also distributed among the children.
Dabgram-Fulbari Trinamool Youth Congress President Kishore Mandal said that there is a shortage of oxygen mainly due to deforestation. “In the coming days, apart from taking care of trees and plants, we will also take the initiative to maintain the environment,” he added.
Block Youth Secretary Gautam Saha and Youth Trinamool Circle President Bullan Saha, Pradhan Sudha Singh Chatterjee, Jalpaiguri District General Secretary Swapan Karmakar and other party workers were present.
