TMYC hold Signature Campaign against fuel price hike in Rajganj

Rajganj, 10th July: Protesting against the increase in the prices of petroleum products, Trinamool Youth Congress launched a mass signature campaign in Rajganj, on Saturday. The demonstration was held in front of various petrol pumps of Rajganj Bazar, Ambari and Belakoba.


Actively supporting the protest in front of Ambari Petrol Pump, Trinamool Youth Congress’s Rajganj Block President Tushar Kanti Dutta condemned the consecutive increase in the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG. “The prices of essential commodities are also increasing and the common people are facing a lot of problems. This agitation will continue until the prices of petroleum products come down,” he added.

Meanwhile, the signature campaign was also conducted in front of Rajganj petrol pump. Youth activists of the area, led by Trinamool Youth Congress Vice President of Jalpaiguri District Sheikh Umar Farooq, staged a protest. Reportedly, the protest will be held in front of the petrol pump today and on Sunday and will continue in the coming days as well. Similar protests were held in Belakoba.
