Siliguri, 30th August: On Friday, the members of the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) staged a sit-in protest across the state following the Chief Minister’s directives. In Siliguri, the protest was held in front of the gate of Siliguri College.
According to reports, the TMCP has asserted that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has not undertaken proper action since the R.G. Kar case. As a result, they demanded immediate and effective investigation leading to the capital punishment for the culprits.
