Dinhata, 06th July: On Wednesday night, the residence of a Trinamool Congress (TMC) party worker was reportedly vandalized and a bomb was thrown. Following the incident, the husband of the Congress candidate and party supporters were accused of the act. However, they have denied the allegations.
According to reports, Hasanuzzaman, a TMC worker residing in Gitaldaha, Dinhata, was out campaigning for party candidate Reshmi Sultana late last night. Allegedly, Shahnoor Islam, the husband of Congress candidate Marjina Begum from the same constituency, along with several workers and supporters, vandalized Hasanuzzaman’s house and threw a bomb. Hasanuzzaman’s mother, Sahara Bibi, also made similar accusations. She claimed that while her son was engaged in campaigning, Shahnoor vandalized their residence and threw a bomb, which fortunately did not explode.
