Bagdogra, 08th October: A tea worker tragically lost his life while fishing in Bagdogra. The incident occurred in Punai Basti. The deceased has been identified as Chandan Nayek, a worker at the Bagdogra Tea Estate.
Reports indicate that Chandan went fishing at the river on Monday night. Later in the morning, locals found his body near the riverbank. Significantly, the body bore visible signs of injury on the head.
Upon receiving the news, police from the Bagdogra station arrived at the scene. The body was recovered and transported to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for an autopsy. The police are currently further investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the individual.
