Siliguri, 17th April: During a press conference at the State Secretariat Nabanna today, State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stated that since Siliguri is situated in the border area, people should follow the lockdown protocols properly, failing which strict legal action will be taken.
In this context, police have been conducting Naka checking in various areas of the city and are taking stern actions against the lockdown violators since Friday morning. A team of police personnel also monitored along the Siliguri Junction area and detained several vehicles.
