Malbazar, 23nd September: Two homemakers were killed after a speeding car allegedly hit them while they were out for their morning walk near Chel Bridge along National Highway 17 in Oodlabari under Malbazar block.
The deceased have been identified as Dipmala Thapa and Suma Devi Prasad.
According to reports, the two women went for their morning walk as usual early Wednesday. While they were walking near Chel Bridge, a speeding small car allegedly hit them, resulting in their deaths.
Hearing a loud noise, local residents rushed to the spot and informed the police. Police reached the scene and began an investigation into the incident.
The deaths of the two women have cast a pall of grief over the Debipara area of Oodlabari.
