Siliguri, 24th August: After taking charge as the chairman of SJDA, Sourav Chakraborty met the administrator of Siliguri Municipal Corporation Goutam Deb on Tuesday. The duo relayed thoughts on continuing to bring development to the city through SMC and SJDA.
SJDA board members Rambhajan Mahato, Manik Dey, and other members were present with Chakraborty. He said that he would like to work unitedly with the present municipality board. He said that more emphasis will be laid on the incomplete works in Siliguri and Jalpaiguri.
On the other hand, Goutam Deb said that SJDA is equally involved in the ongoing development work in Siliguri including the solution of traffic problems. The pace of development work will increase further as Sourav Chakraborty has been appointed as the chairman, Deb added.
