Siliguri, 06th July: The Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) continues its vigorous campaign against encroachments within the city.
Reportedly, on Saturday, employees of the Municipal Corporation cleared encroachments on PWD land along Nivedita Road in Ward No. 03.
The campaign also extended to Gurung Basti Bazar in Siliguri, where illegal structures on PWD land were targeted. During the operation, the walls of shops and houses built without authorization were demolished. A significant police presence was deployed to maintain order during the demolition process.
