Siliguri, 14th March: Amit Kumar Dam, the coach of Siliguri Table Tennis Academy, has been felicitated with the Krira Guru Award by the State Government. Several athletes trained at his academy in Siliguri and have had the opportunity to play at the international level. The citizens of Siliguri have expressed their joy regarding the decision to felicitate Dam.
A rally was also staged by the athletes of the academy. Dam attended the rally in an open vehicle. The rally commenced from Siliguri’s Baghajatin Park and concluded at the Academy after touring the various routes of the city.
Amit Kumar Dam expressed his happiness on this occasion and stated that he will try to take the game of table tennis to a new level in Siliguri in the future. The rally was attended by Nantu Pal, the athletes from the academy and Dam’s parents.
