Siliguri, 09th January: The number of stray dogs is growing in the city which has led the Siliguri Municipal Corporation in taking initiative to curb the number of stray dogs. On January 29 and 30, sterilization of stray dogs will be done through four camps at Municipal Corporation’s Shelter Home near Dagapur and Dumping Ground in Siliguri.
Regarding this today, Mayor Goutam Deb held a meeting with veterinarians and animal welfare organizations in two phases in the municipal hall. After the meeting, the Mayor said that in the first phase, the sterilization process will be done through camps at two places. This sterilization process will continue in the coming days with the help of animal welfare organizations.
