Siliguri’s bus drivers, owners stage silent protest in support of various demands

Siliguri, 07th June: The transport business has been greatly affected after the West Bengal government imposed a partial lockdown across the state due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While the business has significantly dropped, the bus drivers and owners are facing more trouble following the constant increase in the price of petrol and diesel.

In this context, several bus drivers and their owners, on Monday, staged a silent protest in various bus stands including the Tenzing Norgay bus stand in Siliguri. They made various demands to the state government, including an increase in bus fares.
