Siliguri, 27th October: Siliguri police recovered banned fireworks worth lakhs before Diwali. One person has been detained.
Reportedly, the police raided a shop in Mahabirsthan on Wednesday afternoon and recovered a huge amount of fireworks.
Allegedly, prohibited fireworks were stockpiled in various places across the city before Kalipuja. Several police stations launched operations and have already recovered fireworks worth lakhs. Police stated their team will continue operations to curb the use of banned fireworks before Puja.
