Siliguri, 13th February: The biggest flower festival of northeastern India commenced in Siliguri’s Kanchenjunga Stadium, today. The State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb, Minister of North Bengal Development Rabindra Nath Ghosh, Banga Ratna winner Bharati Ghosh, President of the Siliguri Horticulture Society and the Councillor of Ward No. 12 Nantu Pal and other members of the Society were present at the inaugural function of the festival.
Flower nursery from various parts of West Bengal participated in this flower festival. A total of 83 stalls has been set up at the flower festival. In addition to the flower display, fruits and flower plant saplings are also being sold.
