Alipurduar, 07th March: An atmosphere of shock and dismay gripped the Madarihat area of the Alipurduar district as news emerged of the tragic death of a woman civic volunteer. The deceased Anisha Kindo, residents of the Garganda Tea Garden area in Madarihat, was found dead in a forest.
Reportedly, Anisha served as a civic volunteer at the local police station. As per stated by the family of the deceased, Anisha had left her home on Tuesday while engaged in a phone conversation, but failed to return. The mystery surrounding her disappearance took a grim turn on Wednesday when the lifeless body of the civic volunteer was found in a dense forest of the Lankapara area.
On Wednesday, the Madarihat police recovered her body from the forest and sent it to the district hospital for post-mortem. At present, the police are investigating the entire incident.
