Several SUCI(C) leaders and workers arrested on the charge of breaching lockdown restrictions

Siliguri, 06th May: After the government passed the directive regarding the opening of liquor shops during the third phase of the lockdown, the Darjeeling District SUCI staged a protest on Wednesday demanding to shut down the shops.


As per the report, the Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist)’ (SUCI(C)) workers staged a protest rally in this regard which commenced from the Court More area and headed towards Siliguri Police station.

However, the police stopped the rally midway and arrested several leaders and workers under the charge of breaching the government protocols and not maintaining social distance.
