Siliguri, 29th September: On behalf of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, 570 Madhyamik and Higher secondary pass students were felicitated at Dinbandhu Mancha in Siliguri. The event was inaugurated by lighting a lamp.
Memento and certificates of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education were handed over to the students by SMC administrator Goutam Deb, BoA member Ranjan Sarkar, SMC commissioner Sonam Wangdi Bhutia, Alok Chakraborty, Vivek Baid, and many others.
Goutam Deb said, “Students are bored of taking online tests from home. So we aim to encourage them in their academics. We wanted to felicitate all secondary and higher secondary students but it was not possible due to the pandemic situation. This honor was given to the candidates who scored 85 percent marks.”
