Siliguri, 10th September: Several traders have allegedly occupied abandoned lands adjacent to NJP and are conducting trade freely.
Allegedly, a decorator named Sumit Majumder has been running his business for a long time in one such railway land. Acting promptly, the railway department, on Thursday, conducted a demolition drive in NJP North Colony and vacated the land.
According to the Railway Department, all lands occupied by unscrupulous traders will be vacated soon.
