Siliguri, 26th March: Sanjit Das, a resident of Dabagram Ward No. 22 was found dead behind his house’s bathroom this morning. Siliguri Police have launched an intense investigating into the mysterious death of Das.
Reportedly, Sanjit had been battling with his troubled marriage for the past several years. He was also on the verge of filing for divorce, nevertheless, to give their marriage another chance, Sanjit convinced his wife and brought her back home a few days ago. However, the unforeseen incident which took place today morning has raised several speculations.
Dipto Karmakar, a local, stated that he rushed to the incident spot after the deceased’s elder brother informed him regarding the matter. Allegedly, he noticed some kind of a plastic material around Das’ neck and his face also had severe bruises. In addition to this, bloodstains were also spotted in the sewer behind the bathroom.
Upon receiving the news, the Siliguri police reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the matter. As per the sources, it is yet to figure out where it is a case of suicide or murder. The body has been taken to the hospital for autopsy.
