Siliguri, 03rd April: In a recent development, the Matigara police station has foiled a planned robbery bid and arrested three miscreants. The arrested criminals accused have been identified as Arjun Das, Bubai Das and Mohammad Mustafa. Mustafa is stated to be a resident of Balasan area while the others are from Ashighar.
As per reports, on Tuesday night, acting on a tip off, the police arrested all three miscreants from a vacant ground adjacent to the IT Park of Paribahan Nagar in Matigara. Additionally, the police also recovered several sharp weapons from the miscreants.
Police sources revealed that about 10 to 12 miscreants had gathered in a vacant ground in the said area. Upon witnessing police presence, the group attempted to flee, however three miscreants were apprehended. The miscreants had gathered with an intention to execute a robbery.
On Wednesday, all three accused have been produced before the Siliguri court while further investigation is currently underway.
