Patient allegedly goes missing from Malda Medical College-Hospital

Malda, 01st March: Sensation prevailed after a patient, identified as Abu Talaha (52) went missing from Malda Medical College-Hospital last night. Reportedly, he is a resident of Sambalpur under Pukhuria police station area.


It was reported that the aforementioned man was admitted to the Malda Medical College-Hospital, last Friday and was ready for discharge on Sunday. However, he went missing the previous night.

Abu Talaha’s wife Hasnara Bibi alleged that they were not allowed to enter the patient’s ward and expressed outrage. Hasnara has already filed a complaint at the police station. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.

    similar incident of one of distant relatives happened around 2years ago, the patient went missing from the bed at hospital. The family were searching for him through out hospital campus but he could not traced until two days later a dead body was found at the railway track near the hospital by the locals which was then brought to the hospital and that family identied their missing patient. The family suspected that the patient was abducted for kidney by some insiders in the hospital only.
