South Dinajpur, 18th February: An individual died in a road accident at Sarai Haat under the Bansihari Police Station in South Dinajpur district. The deceased has been identified as Majidur Sarkar. According to the information, a lorry hit the said person when he was crossing the road on a bicycle.
The cyclist was severely injured in the incident. Locals immediately rushed the injured person to the Gangarampur Sub-divisional Super Specialty Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Both the driver and the associate driver of the lorry have been absconding since the incident. The police have started investigating the incident.
