Malda, 01st February: A youth was killed in a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle in the Chanchal B Ed College area in Malda. The deceased has been identified as Raja Ali (25), a resident of the Paro village of Tulsihata Gram Panchayat under the Harishchandrapur Police station.
According to sources, Raja Ali was traveling from Harishchandrapur to Chanchal, today morning. During the journey, his motorcycle collided head-on with a wedding car coming from the opposite direction. As Raja fell on the road, he was run over by another vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The locals rushed Raja to the hospital in a critical condition, where the doctors declared him dead.
On the other hand, upon receiving the news of the incident, the Police reached the spot and seized both the vehicles. However, both the drivers of the vehicles absconded from the scene. The Police recovered the body and sent it to Malda Medical College-Hospital for an autopsy.
