Cooch Behar, 20th May: Sensation prevailed after a bomb blasted during soil digging behind a house in Dakshin Beldanga village of Bhetaguri Gram Panchayat, under the jurisdiction of Dinhata Block-1.
The incident occurred when Muzaffar Miya, a resident of the said area, was collecting soil at a distance from his house. Suddenly, a powerful explosion rattled the area, leaving Muzaffar injured. Local residents rushed to the scene and found him in a wounded state.
Muzaffar was immediately rescued and transported to Dinhata Sub divisional Hospital for medical treatment. Police promptly arrived at the location to initiate a thorough investigation.
