Kanki, 15th December: Based on a tip-off, the police launched operations at the Kanki bus stand in Uttar Dinajpur district and recovered illegal liquor worth 3 lakh rupees. A person, identified as Ramu Mandal (28) has been arrested in the incident. He is a resident of Bihar.
Reportedly, the police detained a pick-up van without a number plate at the said area. Upon searching the vehicle, 27 cartons of liquor were recovered.
