Siliguri, 01st June: The NJP police, based on a tip-off, busted a gang of robbers and arrested three of its members. The accused have been identified as MD Kaushar, Joy Paul, and Dipu Mandal.
According to police sources, around 8-10 miscreants with firearms had gathered at the Fulbari Bazar area on Friday night. Upon being notified, the police launched operations in the area and nabbed four out of the rest. A cartridge and locally made firearms were recovered from their possession. The NJP police then launched search operations to catch the other absconding gang members.
After continuous campaigning, the police successfully arrested three more notorious members of the gang near NJP’s Netaji More last night. The trio was present in Jalpaiguri court today.
