Naxalbari, 24th September: Naxalbari police recovered 110 cartons of illegal liquor before they could be smuggled to Bihar. Two persons were arrested in the incident. The arrested accused have been identified as Bijay Mukhia and Suraj Baraik. Both are residents of Kharibari.
It has been learned that the police, acting on a tip-off, raided in Naxalbari Satvaiya More on Friday morning and detained a pick-up van. 110 cartons of illegal liquor were recovered from the vehicle. The arrested individuals were produced at Siliguri court.
