Siliguri, 16th January: On Sunday, more than 200 members of BJP and other parties joined the Trinamool Congress in Siliguri’s Ward 35. District president Papia Ghosh and former minister Goutam Deb welcomed the new members by hoisting party flags.
Apart from Trinamool Congress candidate Shampa Nandi from Ward No. 35, other leaders were also present at the programme.
President Papia Ghosh said that there is no such thing as BJP or CPIM in Siliguri. Trinamool will win in 47 wards.
