Siliguri, 17th September: A girl who went missing from Siliguri was rescued from Bihar. A youth, identified as Rudol Kumar, has been arrested in connection to the incident.
It has been learned that the accused youth met the 14-year-old minor of Suryasen Colony, Siliguri, through a social media platform. Later a love affair developed between the two. After the girl went missing on August 30, the family lodged a missing complaint at the NJP police station.
After investigation, the police found out that the girl was in Bihar. A team of police immediately reached Bihar and rescued her from the Damgara area under Shankarpur Police Station on September 16. Rudol Kumar was arrested in the incident. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
He was sent to Jalpaiguri court on Friday. Besides, the minor girl was also sent to court to lodge a statement.
