Siliguri, 18th October: State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb is all set to release his own music album comprising of Rabindra Sangeet. The renowned Bengali actor Soumitra Chatterjee recited poems of Rabindra Nath Tagore in the album.
The teaser of the album was released on Sunday at Siliguri’s Mainak Tourist Lodge. The entire album will be released next year on January 1. Deb has shot the album in temples, mosques, churches, and gurdwaras in different parts of the state.
The event was attended by the Vice-Chancellor of North Bengal University, professors of various universities and colleges, and many renowned people from the cultural realm.
Reportedly, the album’s editing process has already started. The album is likely to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
In this context, the minister said that due to his interest in music, he started taking training from Anindya Majumdar, a teacher at St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. From then on, he took an initiative to create an album.
