Minister Goutam Deb hand over certificates to several disabled people through a camp

Siliguri, 11th January: Apart from issuing certificates to the disabled people, State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb has also decided to provide them with the benefits of Manabik Prakalpa, a scheme implemented by West Bengal, to aid the physically challenged financially.


Already in the first phase, certificates have been issued to 560 disabled people in the minister's assembly constituency area and they have been brought under the Manabik Prakalpa.

On Monday, a camp was organized at Chotragachh under Fulbari- 02 region. Certificates were handed over to more than 100 disabled people living in Fulbari 1 and 2 regions as well as in the Wards 31 to 35 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation.


Minister Goutam Deb, Rajganj BDO NC Sherpa, Jalpaiguri District-in-council member Debashish Pramanik, Gautam Goswami, and many others were present at the camp.

Deb said that so far, the disabled people had to face many difficulties in getting certificates. Hence, such an initiative has been taken. Strict surveillance is being kept to ensure they are not deprived of any facilities in his assembly constituency area.
