Alipurduar, 30th April: A meeting was held in Panchayat Samiti of Kalchini Block to discuss the prevailing COVID-19 situation. The meeting was attended by Kalchini BDO Prashanta Barman, OC Anirban Majumder, Block Health Officer Dr Subhash Kumar Karmakar and representatives of various political parties in the block, representatives of business organizations and tea garden managers.
In the meeting, it has been decided that the shops in the block will remain open from 9 am to 5 pm, starting May 01. Kalchini’s BDO Prashanta Barman said that the representatives of all the political parties have been asked not to hold any victory procession or victory celebration on the counting day.
