Rajganj, 18th November: Sensation prevailed after a married woman mysteriously went missing from her father’s residence, about four days ago. The missing woman, identified as Sumila Sarkar has been missing since Wednesday night. The homemaker is stated to be a resident of Paglahat village in Rajganj.
According to reports, about four years ago, Sumila was married to Ranjan Modak, a teacher by profession and a resident of Paglahat village of Sannyasikata Gram Panchayat of Rajganj block. Last Monday, Sumila and her husband Ranjan Modak went to Dakshin Kathulia under the jurisdiction of the Dhupguri police station for the Kali Puja fair.
The following afternoon Ranjan returned home, but his wife stayed at her maternal home. Following this, Sumila was untraced from home from around 11:30 pm on Wednesday night. Subsequently, efforts were made to find her, but all in vain.
On Thursday, the family members filed a missing complaint at Dhupguri police station. Meanwhile, husband Ranjan is wandering places and making desperate attempts to find his wife.
