Siliguri, 03rd December: A distressing incident surfaced from Siliguri where a man forcibly engaged in physical relations with a minor under the deception of friendship. The accused has been identified as Ajit, a resident of Debidanga.
As per reports, about five months ago, the minor was returning home from the market. During this, Ajit stopped the minor and took her phone number. Subsequently, Ajit engaged in conversations over the phone with the girl and befriended her. Later, the accused took the minor for an outing and allegedly engaged in forceful physical relations. After the incident, the minor did not reveal the incident in her home out of fear.
Later, as the minor’s mother and elder sister noticed the physical changes, they took her to a health care center, where the doctor stated that the minor was about 5 months pregnant. Following the revelations by the doctor, the minor narrated the entire incident to the family members prompting them to file a written complaint against the accused at Pradhan Nagar police station on Saturday night. Meanwhile, the victim has demanded the police for stringent punishment of the accused. Currently, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire incident.
