Jalpaiguri, 20th November: The residents of Raninagar’s Chobabhita area in Jalpaiguri are once again under the grip of leopard terror. Due to the fear among the people, work in the tea garden has also been suspended.
A local Gajendranath Roy said that this morning the workers spotted the leopard while plucking tea leaves in the garden. The forest department and the police were immediately informed. The forest personnel of Belakoba Range reached the spot as soon as the news was received.
In this regard, Belakoba Range forest worker Simul Haque said that the department had received a report regarding the sighting of a leopard in the tea garden. While the work for rescuing the wild animal has already been initiated, however, the leopard has not been found yet.
