Leopard carcass recovered from a tea garden in Rajganj

Rajganj, 27th March: On Wednesday, a leopard carcass was recovered from a tea garden in Pradhan Para of Manthani I near Belakoba in Jalpaiguri Sadar block.


Reported, a tea worker spotted the carcass while working in the plantation and alerted the locals. As the new surfaced, a crowd of people gathered in the area to get a glimpse of the leopard aged about 2-3 years.

Later, the matter was informed to the forest officials of Belakoba Range. Upon receiving the news, the forest personnel arrived at the spot, recovered the leopard’s body and transported it for a post-mortem examination.
