Siliguri, 25th February: Congress and Left parties will hold a joint rally on February 28 at Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata. To make the said event a success, a grand rally was organized by the Darjeeling District Left Front on Thursday.
The CPI(M) launched a ‘Brigade chalo’ (Let’s go to Brigade) song for the February 28 poll rally in West Bengal. A parody version of the song ‘Tumpa Sona’ has been selected for promoting the Brigade rally.
The “Tumpa toke niye brigade jabo” lyrics of the song takes a dig at the oppositions. The video is being widely shared on social media.
In Siliguri, a grand rally commenced from MG More (Airview More) and concluded at Baghajatin Park. Ashok Bhattacharya, supporting the song, said that it was a “parody”.
