Siliguri, 11th June: Jalpaiguri MP Dr. Jayanta Roy and several other BJP workers were allegedly attacked at Ambari Bhandarigachh, this afternoon. Following which Roy and two other BJP workers were rushed to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.
The MP alleged that the attack happened when he was helping the displaced BJP workers return home. Apparently, a group of TMC activists physically assaulted them with bamboo sticks. The critically injured party workers were taken to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.
