Siliguri, 18th February: An illegal business operating in the Borough-1 office of Siliguri Municipal Corporation has been busted. House plans were illegally passed through the office. An atmosphere of tension has engulfed the Borough-1 since the incident. The Borough-1 Chairman Snigdha Hazra stated that she was unaware of the incident earlier and was informed about it two days ago. She also stated that she has submitted the old money receipts to the Secretary of the Municipal Corporation. The Borough-1 has started investigating the matter.
Meanwhile, the opposition leader of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, Ranjan Sarkar stated that the general public is aware of the person involved in the illegal business of old money receipts in Borough-1. He further stated that the general public will respond to the issue in the coming days.\
