Huge quantity of banned firecrackers seized from a cargo truck near Assam-Bangladesh border in Tufanganj, three arrested

Cooch Behar, 16th October: In a significant breakthrough, the cops of Bakshirhat police station seized a huge quantity of banned crackers from a cargo truck during Naka checking near the Assam-Bangladesh border in Tufanganj, Cooch Behar. Following this, three individuals were arrested.


According to reports, on Sunday morning, the police seized a cargo lorry at the Balakuthi Naka checking point of Bhanukumari-II Gram Panchayat under Tufanganj Block II, near the Assam-Bangladesh border. During the search, 119 cartons of banned firecrackers were recovered from the vehicle. Subsequently, three individuals were arrested upon failure to provide valid documents of the goods. At present, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the matter.
