Siliguri,24th August: The second phase of Duare Sarkar Camp commenced in different parts of the state from August 16. Accordingly, camps are being held in different places of Siliguri. Huge crowds are spotted in these camps for the state’s new ‘Lakshmi Bhandar’ scheme.
Meanwhile, to check if the camps are running smoothly without any foul play, Administrator of Siliguri Municipal Corporation Goutam Deb inspected the camp at Michael Madhusudan Vidyapeeth in Ward No. 23, on Tuesday.
“I am visiting different places to ensure that the process is being conducted in a systematic way,” he said further adding that some counters of Lakshmi Bhandar have been shifted to the Women’s college to control crowds.
