Siliguri, 02nd November: The officials of the STF North Bengal branch arrested four people with yaba tablets worth Rs 50 lakh. The arrested accused have been identified as Matiul Mian, Jagir Hussain, Rafiqul Haque, and Aziz Mian, residents of Cooch Behar.
It has been learned that STF recovered 50,000 Yaba tablets from the oil tanker of a small vehicle during a raid on Canal Road under NJP police station. Four people were arrested in the incident.
According to STF sources, the tablets were transported to West Bengal from Myanmar via Manipur. The estimated market value of the recovered yaba tablets is Rs 50 lakh. They were sent to Jalpaiguri court on Tuesday.
