Kharibari, 05th September: The Food Safety Department conducted inspections at several shops, sweet shops and restaurants in Kharibari on Saturday.
The inspection was carried out by the Food Safety Department along with Kharibari Block Development Officer (BDO) Dipti Shaw and Kharibari Police. During the inspection, dead flies were found inside a refrigerator at a sweet shop, while spoiled sweets were also recovered. At another establishment, bread was found covered with newspapers.
Following the findings, the authorities instructed the concerned shop owners to maintain proper cleanliness and hygiene. The shop owners were given seven days to comply with the instructions.
The BDO said that similar inspections would continue in the coming days to ensure cleanliness and food safety standards are maintained.
