Islampur, 14th January: Five houses were burnt to ashes at the Mela ground of Islampur, on Thursday morning.
The locals started putting out the fire as soon as they spotted the fire. On the other hand, the incident was reported to the fire brigade. Upon receiving the news, a fire engine reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
However, the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The firefighters primarily speculated that the fire was caused by a short circuit.
