Alipurduar, 09th November: A fire brigade employee named Ajay Shah has been accused of assaulting his colleague with a wooden bat while being drunk. The incident surfaced from the Alipurduar fire brigade premises. The injured person has been identified as Achintya Kole.
Reportedly, Achintya Kole came across Ajay Shah drinking in the office restroom during duty hours. When Achintya protested against the act, Ajay verbally abused him and then attacked him with a wooden bat.
Following this, Achintya was admitted to Alipurduar District Hospital in a critical condition on Sunday night. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
