Siliguri, 27th January: The Central Government is all set to honour Dr. Eklabya Sharma, a distinguished ecologist from North Bengal, with the Padma Shri Award for his unprecedented contribution to the field for more than a decade.
Reportedly, after the announcement was made for the Padma Shri Award, Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh arrived at his residence on Saturday morning. During this, the MLA garlanded Eklabya Sharma and also congratulated him for the award.
In this regard, MLA Shankar Ghosh highlighted the announcement of the scientist from North Bengal for the Padma Shri Award and stated the achievement to be a moment of pride.
